Eight years old Kate hid behind the sofa in tears as she watched with horror  her mom being physically abused by dad who came home drunk that night.
Although her mom continually assured her that "everything's gonna be alright" because she didn't want her daughter to feel what she felt, but Kate still felt the pain and never forgot.

Ten years had passed, dad had left them. Kate grew up wondering what it felt like to have a man who cares about you in her life.
And So she looked for love in other men and tried to act strong, but oh, in those places where she thought she found love, she ended up with broken heart and scars.
In those places where she thought she found friendship, she ended up  betrayed and ridiculed.
That evening, as she sat on her bed in tears, mom came and reassured her that "everything's gonna be alright". Told her about a man who can never break her heart, of a friend who can never betray her...
And so Kate got on her knees that night and prayed;
"DEAR GOD, IF YOU'RE OUT THERE,
IF YOU'RE LISTENING,
PLEASE HEAR MY CRY,
I'M LOST AND I'M SCARED,
AND I HAVE NO WHERE TO GO,
I TURN NOW TO YOU, PLEASE BE MY FRIEND AND GIVE A HELPING HAND TO YOUR FRIEND"

And for sure from that day, her life changed. She reached out and grabbed God's grace, in fact she saw light.
Until the night when mom passed away; and she thought a little drink will help her bear the pain...
One thing led to another at the bar, and nine months later, she became a mother. 
And as she sat there on the bed, stroking that little angel's head,  tears streamed down her eyes and she prayed;
"DEAR GOD, I KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE,
PLEASE HEAR MY CRY,
I'M LOST AND SCARED,
AND I'M NOT SURE I CAN BE THE BEST MOTHER,
SO IF YOU'RE LISTENING, CAN YOU PLEASE GIVE A HELPING HAND TO YOUR DAUGHTER"

Well,  the baby grew into a boy who became her pride and joy.
He loved her like no man ever could and her heart found peace because she finally understood what it felt like to be loved by a man.
She finally understood God's love.

So as she laid down in the bed, now 99 years old: she grabbed her son's hands and said;
"son,  there's something you must know ...
There is a God up there
Who heard my prayer
when I was lost and afraid
And I had no where else to go.
I had know clue, what to do;

And then He sent you to me.
So if you're lost and afraid
And you feel so alone
Don't worry child
because there's a Father who will love you as His own
Just like he loved his daughter."

Morale:
1. This story is a proof that every woman needs a man in her life.
It really doesn't matter if that man is her father, or her brother, or  her bestie, or her pastor, or her son..
A man's love has a special auric effect on a woman.
That's an explanation why to a woman,  being in an any kinda relationship is preferred to the boredom of being single.

2. This is a warning to fathers and would be fathers.
Never abuse your wives. Not to mention doing so in front of your kids. You may forget the event,  your wife may even forget, but the impression is indelible in the heart of your children and it will eventually affect their future relationships.

3. When you feel like all hope is gone, turn to God.
He's the best friend you can have.
He's the best lover your soul can wish for.
Pray about everything in your relationship/marriage!
And like He gave an helping hand to his daughter, 

 He'll give an helping hand in that Marital crisis you are facing.
 He'll give a helping hand in that heartbreak you're passing through.
 He'll give an helping hand in that choice of partner you're trying to make.
 He'll give an helping hand in the raising up of your children.
 He'll give an helping hand in every aspect of your life.
